General Hervé Temporel has nearly 40 years' professional experience in France and abroad in leadership, operational, logistical, financial and administrative management of multi-disciplinary teams, as well as in the implementation of projects involving several bilateral and/or multilateral stakeholders. For over 10 years, he worked in sub-Saharan Africa in the field of "Peace - Security - Defense": in the Central African Republic as advisor to the multinational force of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community; in the Democratic Republic of Congo as defense attaché and head of a cooperation mission; in Mali as head of the advisory pillar of the European Training Mission; and as security and defense advisor to the Secretary General of the Economic Community of Central African States.

Since November 2017, within Expertise France, General Hervé Temporel has been regional director of the European Union's support project for the G5 Sahel joint force.
