After 18 years with the NGO Handicap International as program director in Africa and Asia, then as deputy program director at the association's Lyon headquarters, Florence Thune joined Sidaction in 2005. She was head of the capacity-building unit in the international programs department until 2015, and then became head of the France programs department before being appointed general manager of the association in 2017. She has been living with HIV for 23 years, and has spoken out publicly about her HIV status.
