CBRN risk management: strengthening international cooperation for appropriate responses

N.R.B.C. stands for nuclear, radiological, biological and chemical. Four letters to evoke threats, often invisible and elusive, which arouse legitimate fears due to their potential impact on public health, the environment and national security. How can we prepare for them, detect them and respond to them?

Expertise France has been contributing to European CBRN risk mitigation policy for over 10 years, playing a key role as a pool of expertise in this sector through the “CBRN Centers of Excellence Initiative”. This EU instrument, created in 2010, aims to strengthen cooperation between governments and international partners to effectively combat CBRN risks, with a view to developing a common risk reduction policy. Expertise France has implemented some twenty of the Initiative’s 108 projects on the Atlantic and East African coasts, as well as in Central Asia, both with the EU and with other donors.

(Re)discover the replay of this enriching Rendez-vous de l’Expertise with renowned experts who shared their knowledge and practices on prevention, preparation and response to these complex threats.
