Olivier Marcy

 

Olivier Marcy is a medical epidemiologist and researcher in the IDLIC (Infectious Dieases in Low Income Countries) team at the Bordeaux Population Health research center, Inserm Center U1219, at the University of Bordeaux. He has been involved as a clinician, program coordinator and researcher in clinical and research work on the management of HIV infection and TB-HIV co-infection in adults and children. He worked for three years in the Republic of Congo as medical coordinator for the HIV programs of the French Red Cross. He also worked in Cambodia for seven years, at the national pediatric hospital, on French Red Cross programs, as well as on research and access to antiretroviral treatment and multidrug-resistant tuberculosis projects with the Cambodian NGO Cambodian Health Committee. His current research focuses on the diagnosis and management of children with tuberculosis, the integration of care into the healthcare system, and tuberculosis-HIV co-infection. He is the coordinating investigator of the TB-Speed project funded by Unitaid and the 5% Initiative.
